Chengdu is the capital of the state of Sichuan, famous for many things, including pandas and HOT HOT spicy food. Because of the latter, Daughter #1 is the best person to write about the famous food, especially the hot pot feast we were treated to by D#1's academic advisor, who was as sweet a person as I've met.
